Galatians 5:16-23

16But I say, 1walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out 2the desire of the flesh.

17For 3the flesh 4sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, 5so that you may not do the things that you 6please.

18But if you are 7led by the Spirit, 8you are not under the Law.

19Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: 9 10immorality, impurity, sensuality,

20idolatry, 11sorcery, enmities, 12strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, 13disputes, dissensions, 14 15factions,

21envying, 16drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not 17inherit the kingdom of God.

22But 18the fruit of the Spirit is 19love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

23gentleness, 20self-control; against such things 21there is no law.
