Galatians 3:8-16
8The Scripture, foreseeing that God 1would justify the 2Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “3All the nations will be blessed in you.” 9So then 4those who are of faith are blessed with 5Abraham, the believer.
10For as many as are of the works of 6the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “7Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them.” 11Now that 8no one is justified 9by 10the Law before God is evident; for, “1112The righteous man shall live by faith.” 1213However, the Law is not 14of faith; on the contrary, “15He who practices them shall live 16by them.” 13Christ 17redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us--for it is written, “18Cursed is everyone who hangs on 19a 20tree”-- 14in order that 21in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might 22come to the Gentiles, so that we 23would receive 24the promise of the Spirit through faith.
1525Brethren, 26I speak 27in terms of human relations: 28even though it is only a man’s 29covenant, yet when it has been ratified, no one sets it aside or adds 30conditions to it. 16Now the promises were spoken 31to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as referring to many, but rather to one, “32And to your seed,” that is, Christ.
