Galatians 1:8-24
But even if we, or 1an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel 2contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be 34accursed! 9As we 5have said before, so I say again now, 6if any man is preaching to you a gospel 7contrary to what you received, he is to be 89accursed!
For am I now 10seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a 11bond-servant of Christ.
For 12I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is 13not according to man. 12For 14I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a 15revelation of Jesus Christ.
For you have heard of 16my former manner of life in Judaism, how I 17used to persecute 18the church of God beyond measure and 19tried to destroy it; 14and I 20was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my 21countrymen, being more extremely zealous for my 22ancestral traditions. 15But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and 23called me through His grace, was pleased 16to reveal His Son in me so that I might 24preach Him among the Gentiles, 25I did not immediately consult with 2627flesh and blood, 1728nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went away to Arabia, and returned once more to 29Damascus.
Then 30three years later I went up 31to Jerusalem to 32become acquainted with 33Cephas, and stayed with him fifteen days. 19But I did not see any other of the apostles except 3435James, the Lord’s brother. 20(Now in what I am writing to you, 36I assure you 37before God that I am not lying.) 21Then 38I went into the regions of 39Syria and 40Cilicia. 22I was still unknown by 41sight to 42the churches of Judea which were 43in Christ; 23but only, they kept hearing, “He who once persecuted us is now preaching 44the faith which he once 45tried to destroy.” 24And they 46were glorifying God 47because of me.
