Galatians 1:6-24
6I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting 1Him who called you 2by the grace of Christ, for a 3different gospel; 7which is really not another; only there are some who are 4disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8But even if we, or 5an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel 6contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be 78accursed! 9As we 9have said before, so I say again now, 10if any man is preaching to you a gospel 11contrary to what you received, he is to be 1213accursed!
10For am I now 14seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a 15bond-servant of Christ.
11For 16I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is 17not according to man. 12For 18I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a 19revelation of Jesus Christ.
13For you have heard of 20my former manner of life in Judaism, how I 21used to persecute 22the church of God beyond measure and 23tried to destroy it; 14and I 24was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my 25countrymen, being more extremely zealous for my 26ancestral traditions. 15But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and 27called me through His grace, was pleased 16to reveal His Son in me so that I might 28preach Him among the Gentiles, 29I did not immediately consult with 3031flesh and blood, 1732nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went away to Arabia, and returned once more to 33Damascus.
18Then 34three years later I went up 35to Jerusalem to 36become acquainted with 37Cephas, and stayed with him fifteen days. 19But I did not see any other of the apostles except 3839James, the Lord’s brother. 20(Now in what I am writing to you, 40I assure you 41before God that I am not lying.) 21Then 42I went into the regions of 43Syria and 44Cilicia. 22I was still unknown by 45sight to 46the churches of Judea which were 47in Christ; 23but only, they kept hearing, “He who once persecuted us is now preaching 48the faith which he once 49tried to destroy.” 24And they 50were glorifying God 51because of me.
