Galatians 1:13-20
13For you have heard of 1my former manner of life in Judaism, how I 2used to persecute 3the church of God beyond measure and 4tried to destroy it; 14and I 5was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my 6countrymen, being more extremely zealous for my 7ancestral traditions. 15But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and 8called me through His grace, was pleased 16to reveal His Son in me so that I might 9preach Him among the Gentiles, 10I did not immediately consult with 1112flesh and blood, 1713nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went away to Arabia, and returned once more to 14Damascus.
18Then 15three years later I went up 16to Jerusalem to 17become acquainted with 18Cephas, and stayed with him fifteen days. 19But I did not see any other of the apostles except 1920James, the Lord’s brother. 20(Now in what I am writing to you, 21I assure you 22before God that I am not lying.)
