Galatians 1:12-24
12For 1I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a 2revelation of Jesus Christ.
13For you have heard of 3my former manner of life in Judaism, how I 4used to persecute 5the church of God beyond measure and 6tried to destroy it; 14and I 7was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my 8countrymen, being more extremely zealous for my 9ancestral traditions. 15But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and 10called me through His grace, was pleased 16to reveal His Son in me so that I might 11preach Him among the Gentiles, 12I did not immediately consult with 1314flesh and blood, 1715nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went away to Arabia, and returned once more to 16Damascus.
18Then 17three years later I went up 18to Jerusalem to 19become acquainted with 20Cephas, and stayed with him fifteen days. 19But I did not see any other of the apostles except 2122James, the Lord’s brother. 20(Now in what I am writing to you, 23I assure you 24before God that I am not lying.) 21Then 25I went into the regions of 26Syria and 27Cilicia. 22I was still unknown by 28sight to 29the churches of Judea which were 30in Christ; 23but only, they kept hearing, “He who once persecuted us is now preaching 31the faith which he once 32tried to destroy.” 24And they 33were glorifying God 34because of me.
