Daniel 11:32-37
32By 1smooth words he will 2turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will display 3strength and take action. 3345Those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many; yet they will 6fall by sword and by flame, by captivity and by plunder for many days. 34Now when they fall they will be granted a little help, and many will 7join with them in 8hypocrisy. 35Some of 9those who have insight will fall, in order to 10refine, 11purge and make them 1213pure until the 14end time; because it is still to come at the appointed time.
36“Then the king will 15do as he pleases, and he will exalt and 16magnify himself above every god and will 17speak 18monstrous things against the 19God of gods; and he will prosper until the 20indignation is finished, for that which is 21decreed will be done. 37He will show no regard for the 22gods of his fathers or for the desire of women, nor will he show regard for any other god; for he will magnify himself above them all.
