Colossians 3:1-17

1Therefore if you have been 1raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, 2seated at the right hand of God. 234Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3For you have 5died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, 6who is our life, is revealed, 7then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

58Therefore 9consider 10the members of your earthly body as dead to 1112immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which 13amounts to idolatry. 6For it is because of these things that 14the wrath of God will come 15upon the sons of disobedience, 7and 16in them you also once walked, when you were living 17in them. 8But now you also, 18put them all aside: 19anger, wrath, malice, slander, and 20abusive speech from your mouth. 92122Do not lie to one another, since you 23laid aside the old 24self with its evil practices, 10and have 25put on the new self who is being 2627renewed to a true knowledge 28according to the image of the One who 29created him-- 11a renewal in which 30there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, 31circumcised and uncircumcised, 3233barbarian, Scythian, 34slave and freeman, but 35Christ is all, and in all.

12So, as those who have been 36chosen of God, holy and beloved, 37put on a 38heart of compassion, kindness, 39humility, gentleness and 4041patience; 1342bearing with one another, and 43forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; 44just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14Beyond all these things put on love, which is 4546the perfect bond of 47unity. 15Let 48the peace of Christ 49rule in your hearts, to which 50indeed you were called in 51one body; and 52be thankful. 16Let 53the word of 54Christ richly dwell within you, 55with all wisdom 56teaching and admonishing 57one another 58with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, 59singing 60with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 1761Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, 62giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
