Colossians 1:16-29

16For 12by Him all things were created, 3both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether 4thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--5all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17He 67is before all things, and in Him all things 8hold together. 18He is also 9head of 10the body, the church; and He is 11the beginning, 12the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19For 13it was 14the Father’s good pleasure for all 15the 16fullness to dwell in Him, 20and through Him to 17reconcile all things to Himself, having made 18peace through 19the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, 20whether things on earth or things in 21heaven.

21And although you were 22formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, 22yet He has now 23reconciled you in His fleshly 24body through death, in order to 25present you before Him 26holy and blameless and beyond reproach-- 23if indeed you continue in 27the faith firmly 28established and steadfast, and not moved away from the 29hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed 30in all creation under heaven, 31and of which I, Paul, 32was made a 3334minister.

2435Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh 36I 37do my share on behalf of 38His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking 39in Christ’s afflictions. 2540Of this church I 41was made a minister according to the 42stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might 43fully carry out the preaching of the word of God, 26that is, 44the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His 45saints, 27to whom 46God willed to make known what is 47the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is 48Christ in you, the 49hope of glory. 28We proclaim Him, 50admonishing every man and teaching every man 51with all 52wisdom, so that we may 53present every man 5455complete in Christ. 29For this purpose also I 56labor, 57striving 58according to His 59power, which 60mightily works within me.
