Amos 5:10-13
10They hate him who 1reproves in the 2gate, And they 3abhor him who speaks with integrity.11Therefore because you 4impose heavy rent on the poor And exact a tribute of grain from them, Though you have built 5houses of well-hewn stone, Yet you will not live in them; You have planted pleasant vineyards, yet you will 6not drink their wine.12For I know your transgressions are many and your sins are great, You who 7distress the righteous and accept bribes And 8turn aside the poor in the 9gate.13Therefore at 10such a time the prudent person 11keeps silent, for it is an evil time.
