Acts 11:19-27
191So then those who were scattered because of the 2persecution that occurred in connection with Stephen made their way 3to 4Phoenicia and 5Cyprus and 6Antioch, speaking the word to no one except to Jews alone. 20But there were some of them, men of 7Cyprus and 8Cyrene, who came to 9Antioch and began speaking to the 1011Greeks also, 1213preaching the Lord Jesus. 21And 14the hand of the Lord was with them, and 15a large number who believed turned to the Lord. 22The 16news about them 17reached the ears of the church at Jerusalem, and they sent 18Barnabas off 19to 20Antioch. 23Then when he arrived and 21witnessed 22the grace of God, he rejoiced and began to encourage them all with 23resolute heart to remain true to the Lord; 24for he was a good man, and 24full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And 25considerable 26numbers were 27brought to the Lord. 25And he left for 28Tarsus to look for Saul; 26and when he had found him, he brought him to 29Antioch. And for an entire year they 30met with the church and taught considerable 31numbers; and 32the disciples were first called 33Christians in 34Antioch.
27Now 35at this time 36some prophets came down from Jerusalem to 37Antioch.
