2 Timothy 2:3-15
31Suffer hardship with me, as a good 2soldier of 3Christ Jesus. 4No soldier in active service 4entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him as a soldier. 5Also if anyone 5competes as an athlete, he 6does not win the prize unless he competes according to the rules. 67The hard-working farmer ought to be the first to receive his share of the crops. 7Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.
8Remember Jesus Christ, 8risen from the dead, 9descendant of David, 10according to my gospel, 911for which I 12suffer hardship even to 13imprisonment as a 14criminal; but 15the word of God 16is not imprisoned. 10For this reason 17I endure all things for 18the sake of those who are chosen, 19so that they also may obtain the 20salvation which is in 21Christ Jesus and with it 22eternal glory. 1123It is a trustworthy statement: For 24if we died with Him, we will also live with Him;12If we endure, 25we will also reign with Him; If we 2627deny Him, He also will deny us;13If we are faithless, 28He remains faithful, for 29He cannot deny Himself.
14Remind them of these things, and solemnly 30charge them in the presence of God not to 31wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers. 15Be diligent to 32present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling 33the word of truth.
