2 Corinthians 11:22-33

22Are they 1Hebrews? 2So am I. Are they 3Israelites? 4So am I. Are they 56descendants of Abraham? 7So am I. 23Are they 8servants of Christ?--I speak as if insane--I more so; in 910far more labors, in 1112far more imprisonments, 1314beaten times without number, often in 15danger of death. 24Five times I received from the Jews 16thirty-nine lashes. 25Three times I was 17beaten with rods, once I was 18stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent in the deep. 26I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my 19countrymen, dangers from the 20Gentiles, dangers in the 21city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among 22false brethren; 27I have been in 23labor and hardship, 24through many sleepless nights, in 25hunger and thirst, often 26without food, in cold and 2728exposure. 28Apart from such 29external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for 30all the churches. 29Who is 31weak without my being weak? Who is 32led into sin 33without my intense concern?

30If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my 34weakness. 31The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, 35He who is blessed forever, 36knows that I am not lying. 32In 37Damascus the ethnarch under Aretas the king was 38guarding the city of the Damascenes in order to seize me, 33and I was let down in a basket 39through a window 40in the wall, and so escaped his hands.
