1 Peter 2:4-8

4And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been 1rejected by men, but is 2choice and precious in the sight of God, 5 3you also, as living stones, 4are being built up as a 5spiritual house for a holy 6priesthood, to 7offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6For this is contained in 8Scripture: “9Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a 10precious corner stone, And he who believes in 11Him will not be 12disappointed.” 7 13This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve, “14The stone which the builders 15rejected, This became the very corner stone,” 8and, “16A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”; 17for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, 18and to this doom they were also appointed.
