1 John 4:8-13

8The one who does not love does not know God, for 1God is love.

9By this the love of God was manifested 23in us, that 4God has sent His 5only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.

10In this is love, 6not that we loved God, but that 7He loved us and sent His Son to be 8the propitiation for our sins.

119Beloved, if God so loved us, 10we also ought to love one another.

1211No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His 12love is perfected in us.

1313By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
