1 John 4:15-21

151Whoever confesses that 2Jesus is the Son of God, God 3abides in him, and he in God.

164We have come to know and have believed the love which God has 56for us. 7God is love, and the one who 8abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

17By this, 9love is perfected with us, so that we may have 10confidence in 11the day of judgment; because 12as He is, so also are we in this world.

18There is no fear in love; but 13perfect love casts out fear, because fear 14involves punishment, and the one who fears is not 15perfected in love.

1916We love, because He first loved us.

2017If someone says, “I love God,” and 18hates his brother, he is a 19liar; for 20the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, 21cannot love God whom he has not seen.

21And 22this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God 23should love his brother also.
