1And when Athaliahוַֽעֲתַלְיָה֙va.'a.tal.YahH6271the motherאֵ֣ם'emH517of Ahaziahאֲחַזְיָ֔הוּ'a.chaz.Ya.huH274sawרָאֲתָ֖הra.'a.tahH7200that her sonבְּנָ֑הּbe.NahH1121was deadמֵ֣תmetH4191,she aroseוַתָּ֙קָם֙va.Ta.komH6965and destroyedוַתְּאַבֵּ֔דva.te.'a.BedH6all the seedזֶ֥רַעZe.ra'H2233royalהַמַּמְלָכָֽה׃ha.mam.la.KhahH4467.
2But Jehoshebaיְהוֹשֶׁ֣בַעye.ho.She.va'H3089,the daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of kingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ־ha.Me.lekh-H4428Joramי֠וֹרָםYo.romH3141,sisterאֲח֨וֹת'a.ChotH269of Ahaziahאֲחַזְיָ֜הוּ'a.chaz.Ya.huH274,tookוַתִּקַּ֣חva.ti.KachH3947Joashיוֹאָ֣שׁyo.'AshH3101the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Ahaziahאֲחַזְיָ֗ה'a.chaz.YahH274,and stoleוַתִּגְנֹ֤בva.tig.NoH1589him from amongמִתּ֤וֹךְmi.TokhH8432the king’sהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428sonsבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121which wereslainהַמּ֣וּמָתִ֔יםha.ma.mo.timH4191;and they hidוַיַּסְתִּ֧רוּvai.yas.Ti.ruH5641him, evenhim and his nurseמֵינִקְתּ֖וֹmei.nik.ToH3243,in the bedchamberבַּחֲדַ֣ר הַמִּטּ֑וֹתba.cha.Dar ha.mi.TotH4296H2315fromמִפְּנֵ֥יmi.pe.NeiH6440Athaliahעֲתַלְיָ֖הוּ'a.tal.Ya.huH6271,so that he was not slainהוּמָֽת׃hu.MatH4191.
4And the seventhהַ֠שְּׁבִיעִיתHa.she.vi.'itH7637yearוּבַשָּׁנָ֣הu.va.sha.NahH8141Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֜עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077sentשָׁלַ֨חsha.LachH7971and fetchedוַיִּקַּ֣ח׀vai.yi.KachH3947the rulersשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269over hundredsהַמֵּא֗וֹתha.me.yotH3967,with the captainsלַכָּרִי֙la.ka.RiH3746and the guardוְלָ֣רָצִ֔יםve.La.ra.TzimH7323,and broughtוַיָּבֵ֥אvai.ya.Ve'H935them to him into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and madeוַיִּכְרֹת֩vai.yikh.RotH3772a covenantבְּרִ֜יתbe.RitH1285with them, and took an oathוַיַּשְׁבַּ֤עvai.yash.Ba'H7650of them in the houseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and shewedוַיַּ֥רְאvai.Yar'H7200them the king’sהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428sonבֶּן־ben-H1121.
5And he commandedוַיְצַוֵּ֣םvay.tza.VemH6680them, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, This isthe thingהַדָּבָ֖רha.da.VarH1697that ye shall doתַּעֲשׂ֑וּןta.'a.SunH6213;A third partהַשְּׁלִשִׁ֤יתha.she.li.ShitH7992of you that enter inבָּאֵ֣יba.'EiH935on the sabbathהַשַּׁבָּ֔תha.sha.BatH7676shall even be keepersוְשֹׁ֣מְרֵ֔יve.Sho.me.ReiH8104of the watchמִשְׁמֶ֖רֶתmish.Me.retH4931of the king’sהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004;
6And a third partוְהַשְּׁלִשִׁית֙ve.ha.she.li.ShitH7992shall beat the gateבְּשַׁ֣עַרbe.Sha.'arH8179of Surס֔וּרSurH5495;and a third partוְהַשְּׁלִשִׁ֥יתve.ha.she.li.ShitH7992at the gateבַּשַּׁ֖עַרba.Sha.'arH8179behindאַחַ֣ר'a.CharH310the guardהָרָצִ֑יםha.ra.TzimH7323:so shall ye keepוּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֛םu.she.mar.TemH8104the watchמִשְׁמֶ֥רֶתmish.Me.retH4931of the houseהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004,that it be not broken downמַסָּֽח׃ma.SachH4535.
7And twoוּשְׁתֵּ֤יu.she.TeiH8147partsהַיָּדוֹת֙hai.ya.dOtH3027of all you that go forthיֹצְאֵ֣יyo.tze.'EiH3318on the sabbathהַשַּׁבָּ֑תha.sha.BatH7676,even they shall keepוְשָֽׁמְר֛וּve.sha.me.RuH8104the watchמִשְׁמֶ֥רֶתmish.Me.retH4931of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068aboutאֶל־'el-H413the kingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428.
8And ye shall compassוְהִקַּפְתֶּ֨םve.hi.kaf.TemH5362the kingהַמֶּ֜לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428round aboutסָבִ֗יבsa.VivH5439,every manאִ֚ישׁ'ishH376with his weaponsוְכֵלָ֣יוve.khe.LavH3627in his handבְּיָד֔וֹbe.ya.DoH3027:and he that comethוְהַבָּ֥אve.ha.Ba'H935within the rangesהַשְּׂדֵר֖וֹתha.se.de.RotH7713,let him be slainיוּמָ֑תyu.MatH4191:and be ye with the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428as he goeth outבְּצֵאת֥וֹbe.tze.ToH3318and as he cometh inוּבְבֹאֽוֹ׃u.ve.vo.'OH935.
9And the captainsשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269over the hundredsהַמֵּא֗וֹתha.me.yotH3967didוַֽיַּעֲשׂ֞וּvai.ya.'a.SuH6213according to all thingsthat Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֣עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077the priestהַכֹּהֵן֒ha.ko.HenH3548commandedצִוָּה֮tzi.VahH6680:and they tookוַיִּקְחוּ֙vai.yik.ChuH3947every manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376his menאֲנָשָׁ֔יו'a.na.ShavH582that were to come inבָּאֵ֣יba.'EiH935on the sabbathהַשַּׁבָּ֔תha.sha.BatH7676,with them that should go outיֹצְאֵ֣יyo.tze.'EiH3318on the sabbathהַשַּׁבָּ֑תha.sha.BatH7676,and cameוַיָּבֹ֖אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֥עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077the priestהַכֹּהֵֽן׃ha.ko.HenH3548.
10And to the captainsלְשָׂרֵ֣יle.sa.ReiH8269over hundredsהַמֵּא֗וֹתha.me.yotH3967did the priestהַכֹּהֵ֜ןha.ko.HenH3548giveוַיִּתֵּ֨ןvai.yi.TenH5414kingלַמֶּ֣לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428David’sדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732spearsהַחֲנִית֙ha.cha.NitH2595and shieldsהַשְּׁלָטִ֔יםha.she.la.TimH7982, that werein the templeבְּבֵ֥יתbe.VeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.
11And the guardהָרָצִ֜יםha.ra.TzimH7323stoodוַיַּעַמְד֨וּvai.ya.'am.DuH5975,every manאִ֣ישׁ׀'ishH376with his weaponsוְכֵלָ֣יוve.khe.LavH3627in his handבְּיָד֗וֹbe.ya.DoH3027,round aboutסָבִֽיב׃sa.VivH5439the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,from the rightהַיְמָנִית֙hay.ma.NitH3233cornerמִכֶּ֨תֶףmi.Ke.tefH3802of the templeהַבַּ֤יִתha.Ba.yitH1004to the leftהַשְּׂמָאלִ֔יתha.se.ma.LitH8042cornerכֶּ֤תֶףKe.tefH3802of the templeהַבַּ֙יִת֙ha.Ba.yitH1004, alongby the altarלַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַla.miz.Be.achH4196and the templeוְלַבָּ֑יִתve.la.Ba.yitH1004.
12And he brought forthוַיּוֹצִ֣אvai.yo.Tzi'H3318the king’sהַמֶּ֗לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428sonבֶּן־ben-H1121,and putוַיִּתֵּ֤ןvai.yi.TenH5414the crownהַנֵּ֙זֶר֙ha.Ne.zerH5145upon him, and gave himthe testimonyהָ֣עֵד֔וּתha.'e.DutH5715;and they made him kingוַיַּמְלִ֥כוּvai.yam.Li.khuH4427,and anointedוַיִּמְשָׁחֻ֑הוּvai.yim.sha.Chu.huH4886him; and they clappedוַיַּכּוּ־vai.ya.ku-H5221their handsכָ֔ףKhafH3709,and saidוַיֹּאמְר֖וּvai.yo.me.RuH559,God saveיְחִ֥יye.ChiH2421the kingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ סha.Me.lekhH4428.
14And when she lookedוַתֵּ֡רֶאva.Te.re'H7200,behold, the kingהַמֶּלֶךְ֩ha.me.leKhH4428stoodעֹמֵ֨ד'o.MedH5975by a pillarהָעַמּ֜וּדha.'a.MudH5982,as the mannerכַּמִּשְׁפָּ֗טka.mish.PatH4941was,and the princesוְהַשָּׂרִ֤יםve.ha.sa.RimH8269and the trumpetersוְהַחֲצֹֽצְרוֹת֙ve.ha.cha.tzo.tze.rOtH2689by the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,and all the peopleעַ֤ם'amH5971of the landהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776rejoicedשָׂמֵ֔חַsa.Me.achH8056,and blewוְתֹקֵ֖עַve.to.Ke.a'H8628with trumpetsבַּחֲצֹֽצְר֑וֹתba.cha.tzo.tze.RotH2689:and Athaliahעֲתַלְיָה֙'a.tal.YahH6271rentוַתִּקְרַ֤עva.tik.Ra'H7167her clothesבְּגָדֶ֔יהָbe.ga.Dei.haH899,and criedוַתִּקְרָ֖אva.tik.Ra'H7121,Treasonקֶ֥שֶׁרKe.sherH7195,Treasonקָֽשֶׁר׃ סKa.sherH7195.
15But Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֨עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077the priestהַכֹּהֵ֜ןha.ko.HenH3548commandedוַיְצַו֩vay.TzavH6680the captainsשָׂרֵ֥יsa.ReiH8269of the hundredsהַמֵּא֣וֹתha.mei.'otH3967,the officersפְּקֻדֵ֣יpe.ku.DeiH6485of the hostהַחַ֗יִלha.Cha.yilH2428,and saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, Have her forthהוֹצִ֤יאוּho.Tzi.'uH3318withoutמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004the rangesלַשְּׂדֵרֹ֔תla.se.de.RotH7713:and him that followethוְהַבָּ֥א אַחֲרֶ֖יהָve.ha.Ba' 'a.cha.Rei.haH310H935her killהָמֵ֣תha.MetH4191with the swordבֶּחָ֑רֶבbe.Cha.revH2719.For the priestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548had saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559,Let her not be slainתּוּמַ֖תtu.MatH4191in the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.
16And they laidוַיָּשִׂ֤מוּvai.ya.Si.muH7760handsיָדַ֔יִםya.Da.yimH3027on her; and she wentוַתָּב֛וֹאva.ta.Vo'H935by the wayדֶּֽרֶךְ־de.rekh-H1870by the which the horsesהַסּוּסִ֖יםha.su.SimH5483cameמְב֥וֹאme.Vo'H3996into the king’sהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004:and there was she slainוַתּוּמַ֖תva.tu.MatH4191.
17And Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֜עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077madeוַיִּכְרֹ֨תvai.yikh.RotH3772a covenantהַבְּרִ֗יתha.be.RitH1285between the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068and the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428and the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971,that they should be the Lord’sלַֽיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068peopleלְעָ֖םle.'AmH5971;between the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428also and the peopleהָעָֽם׃ha.'AmH5971.
