1Then saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֑הshe.lo.MohH8010,The Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068hath saidאָמַ֔ר'a.MarH559that he would dwellלִשְׁכּ֖וֹןlish.KonH7931in the thick darknessבָּעֲרָפֶֽל׃ba.'a.ra.FelH6205.

2But I have builtבָּנִ֥יתִיba.Ni.tiH1129an houseבֵית־veit-H1004of habitationזְבֻ֖לze.VulH2073for thee, and a placeוּמָכ֥וֹןu.ma.KhonH4349for thy dwellingלְשִׁבְתְּךָ֖le.shiv.te.KhaH3427for everעוֹלָמִֽים׃o.la.MimH5769.

3And the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428turnedוַיַּסֵּ֤בvai.ya.SevH5437his faceפָּנָ֔יוpa.NavH6440,and blessedוַיְבָ֕רֶךְvay.Va.rekhH1288the whole congregationקְהַ֣לke.HalH6951of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478:and all the congregationקְהַ֥לke.HalH6951of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478stoodעוֹמֵֽד׃o.MedH5975.

4And he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Blessedבָּר֤וּךְba.RukhH1288bethe Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,who hath with his handsוּבְיָדָ֥יוu.ve.ya.DavH3027fulfilledמִלֵּ֖אmi.Le'H4390thatwhich he spakeדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696with his mouthבְּפִ֔יוbe.FivH6310to my fatherאָבִ֑י'a.ViH1Davidדָּוִ֣ידda.VidH1732,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

5Since the dayהַיּ֗וֹםhai.YomH3117that I brought forthהוֹצֵ֣אתִיho.Tze.tiH3318my peopleעַמִּי֮'a.MiH5971out of the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַיִם֒mitz.ra.YimH4714I choseבָחַ֣רְתִּֽיva.Char.tiH977no cityבְעִ֗ירve.'IrH5892among all the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֣יshiv.TeiH7626of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478to buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129an houseבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004in, that my nameשְׁמִ֖יshe.MiH8034might be there; neither choseבָחַ֣רְתִּֽיva.Char.tiH977I any manבְאִ֔ישׁve.'IshH376to be a rulerנָגִ֖ידna.GidH5057over my peopleעַמִּ֥י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478:

6But I have chosenוָאֶבְחַר֙va.'ev.CharH977Jerusalemבִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םbi.Ru.sha.LimH3389,that my nameשְׁמִ֖יshe.MiH8034might be there; and have chosenוָאֶבְחַ֣רva.'ev.CharH977Davidבְּדָוִ֔ידbe.da.VidH1732to be over my peopleעַמִּ֥י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

7Now it was in the heartלְבַ֖בle.VavH3824of Davidדָּוִ֣ידda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִ֑י'a.ViH1to buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129an houseבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004for the nameלְשֵׁ֥םle.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

8But the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Davidדָּוִ֣ידda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִ֔י'a.ViH1,Forasmuch as it was in thine heartלְבָ֣בְךָ֔le.Va.ve.khaH3824to buildלִבְנ֥וֹתliv.NotH1129an houseבַּ֖יִתBa.yitH1004for my nameלִשְׁמִ֑יlish.MiH8034,thou didst wellהֱֽטִיב֔וֹתָheti.Vo.taH2895in that it was in thine heartלְבָבֶֽךָ׃le.va.Ve.khaH3824:

9Notwithstandingרַ֣קrakH7535thou shalt not buildתִבְנֶ֖הtiv.NehH1129the houseהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004;but thy sonבִנְךָ֙vin.KhaH1121which shall come forthהַיּוֹצֵ֣אhai.yo.Tze'H3318out of thy loinsמֵֽחֲלָצֶ֔יךָme.cha.la.Tzei.khaH2504,he shall buildיִבְנֶ֥הyiv.NehH1129the houseהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004for my nameלִשְׁמִֽי׃lish.MiH8034.

10The Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068therefore hath performedוַיָּ֣קֶםvai.Ya.kemH6965his wordדְּבָר֖וֹde.va.RoH1697that he hath spokenדִּבֵּ֑רdi.BerH1696:for I am risen upוָאָק֡וּםva.'a.KumH6965in the room of Davidדָּוִ֨ידda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִ֜י'a.ViH1,and am setוָאֵשֵׁ֣ב׀va.'e.ShevH3427on the throneכִּסֵּ֣אki.Se'H3678of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,as the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068promisedדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696,and have builtוָאֶבְנֶ֣הva.'ev.NehH1129the houseהַבַּ֔יִתha.Ba.yitH1004for the nameלְשֵׁ֥םle.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

11And in itH8033have I putוָאָשִׂ֥יםva.'a.SimH7760the arkהָ֣אָר֔וֹןha.'a.RonH727, wherein isthe covenantבְּרִ֣יתbe.RitH1285of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,that he madeכָּרַ֖תka.RatH3772with the childrenבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

12And he stoodוַֽיַּעֲמֹ֗דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975beforeלִפְנֵי֙lif.NeiH6440the altarמִזְבַּ֣חmiz.BachH4196of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068in the presence of all the congregationקְהַ֣לke.HalH6951of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and spread forthוַיִּפְרֹ֖שׂvai.yif.RosH6566his handsכַּפָּֽיו׃ka.PavH3709:

13For Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֜הshe.lo.MohH8010had madeעָשָׂ֨ה'a.SahH6213a brasenנְחֹ֗שֶׁתne.Cho.shetH5178scaffoldכִּיּ֣וֹרki.YorH3595,of fiveחָמֵ֨שׁcha.MeshH2568cubitsאַמּ֜וֹת'a.MotH520longאָרְכּ֗וֹ'a.re.KoH753,and fiveוְחָמֵ֤שׁve.cha.MeshH2568cubitsאַמּוֹת֙'a.mOtH520broadרָחְבּ֔וֹra.che.BoH7341,and threeשָׁל֖וֹשׁsha.Lo.oshH7969cubitsוְאַמּ֥וֹתve.'a.MotH520highקוֹמָת֑וֹko.ma.ToH6967,and had setוַֽיִּתְּנֵהוּ֮vai.yi.te.ne.HuH5414it in the midstבְּת֣וֹךְbe.TokhH8432of the courtהָעֲזָרָה֒ha.'a.za.RahH5835:and upon it he stoodוַיַּעֲמֹ֣דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975,and kneeled downוַיִּבְרַ֤ךְvai.yiv.RakhH1288upon his kneesבִּרְכָּיו֙bir.KavH1290before all the congregationקְהַ֣לke.HalH6951of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and spread forthוַיִּפְרֹ֥שׂvai.yif.RosH6566his handsכַּפָּ֖יוka.PavH3709toward heavenהַשָּׁמָֽיְמָה׃ha.sha.Ma.ye.mahH8064,
