2And Joashיוֹאָ֛שׁyo.'AshH3101didוַיַּ֧עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213that which wasrightהַיָּשָׁ֖רhai.ya.SharH3477in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068all the daysיְמֵ֖יye.MeiH3117of Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֥עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077the priestהַכֹּהֵֽן׃ha.ko.HenH3548.

3And Jehoiadaיְהוֹיָדָ֖עye.ho.ya.Da'H3077tookוַיִּשָּׂא־vai.yi.sa'-H5375for him twoשְׁתָּ֑יִםshe.Ta.yimH8147wivesנָשִׁ֣יםna.ShimH802;and he begatוַיּ֖וֹלֶדvai.Yo.ledH3205sonsבָּנִ֥יםba.NimH1121and daughtersוּבָנֽוֹת׃u.va.NotH1323.

4And it came to pass afterאַחֲרֵיכֵ֑ן'a.cha.rei.KhenH310this, thatJoashיוֹאָ֔שׁyo.'AshH3101was mindedלֵ֣בlevH3820to repairלְחַדֵּ֖שׁle.cha.DeshH2318the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

5And he gathered togetherוַיִּקְבֹּץ֮vai.yik.BotzH6908the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֣יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548and the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּם֒ve.hal.vi.YimH3881,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, Go outצְא֣וּtze.'UH3318unto the citiesלְעָרֵ֪יle.'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֟הye.hu.DahH3063,and gatherוְקִבְצוּ֩ve.kiv.TzuH6908of all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֨לYis.ra.'ElH3478moneyכֶּ֜סֶףKe.sefH3701to repairלְחַזֵּ֣ק׀le.cha.ZekH2388the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of your Godאֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֗ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430fromמִדֵּ֤יmi.DeiH1767yearשָׁנָה֙sha.NahH8141to yearבְּשָׁנָ֔הbe.sha.NahH8141,and see that ye hastenתְּמַהֲר֣וּte.ma.ha.RuH4116the matterלַדָּבָ֑רla.da.VarH1697.Howbeit the Levitesהַֽלְוִיִּֽם׃Hal.vi.YimH3881hastenedמִֽהֲר֖וּmi.ha.RuH4116it not.

6And the kingהַמֶּלֶךְ֮ha.me.leKhH4428calledוַיִּקְרָ֣אvai.yik.Ra'H7121for Jehoiadaלִֽיהוֹיָדָ֣עli.ho.ya.Da'H3077the chiefהָרֹאשׁ֒ha.roShH7218,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, Why hast thou not requiredדָרַ֣שְׁתָּda.Rash.taH1875of the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881to bring inלְהָבִ֞יאle.ha.Vi'H935out of Judahמִֽיהוּדָ֣הmi.hu.DahH3063and out of Jerusalemוּמִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֗םu.mi.ru.sha.LimH3389the collectionמַשְׂאַת֙mas.'AtH4864, according to the commandmentof Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872the servantעֶֽבֶד־'e.ved-H5650of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and of the congregationוְהַקָּהָ֖לve.ha.ka.HalH6951of Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לle.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,for the tabernacleלְאֹ֖הֶלle.'O.helH168of witnessהָעֵדֽוּת׃ha.'e.DutH5715?

7For the sonsבָּנֶ֥יהָba.Nei.haH1121of Athaliahעֲתַלְיָ֙הוּ֙'a.tal.Ya.huH6271,that wickedהַמִּרְשַׁ֔עַתha.mir.Sha.'atH4849woman, had broken upפָרְצ֖וּfa.re.TzuH6555the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430;and also all the dedicated thingsקָדְשֵׁ֣יka.de.SheiH6944of the houseבֵית־veit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068did they bestowעָשׂ֖וּ'a.SuH6213upon Baalimלַבְּעָלִֽים׃la.be.'a.LimH1168.

8And at the king’sהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428commandmentוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559they madeוַֽיַּעֲשׂ֖וּvai.ya.'a.SuH6213aאֶחָ֑ד'e.ChadH259chestאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727,and setוַֽיִּתְּנֻ֛הוּvai.yi.te.Nu.huH5414it withoutחֽוּצָה׃Chu.tzahH2351at the gateבְּשַׁ֥עַרbe.Sha.'arH8179of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068.

9And they madeוַיִּתְּנוּ־vai.yi.te.nu-H5414a proclamationק֞וֹלKolH6963through Judahבִּֽיהוּדָ֣הbi.hu.DahH3063and Jerusalemוּבִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֗םu.vi.ru.sha.LimH3389,to bring inלְהָבִ֤יאle.ha.Vi'H935to the Lordלַֽיהוָה֙la.Yah.wehH3068the collectionמַשְׂאַ֞תmas.'AtH4864thatMosesמֹשֶׁ֧הmo.ShehH4872the servantעֶֽבֶד־'e.ved-H5650of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֛יםha.'E.lo.HimH430laidupon Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ba.mid.BarH4057.

10And all the princesהַשָּׂרִ֖יםha.sa.RimH8269and all the peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971rejoicedוַיִּשְׂמְח֥וּvai.yis.me.ChuH8055,and brought inוַיָּבִ֛יאוּvai.ya.Vi.'uH935,and castוַיַּשְׁלִ֥יכוּvai.yash.Li.khuH7993into the chestלָאָר֖וֹןla.'a.RonH727,until they had made an endלְכַלֵּֽה׃le.kha.LehH3615.

11Now it came to pass, that at what timeבְּעֵת֩be.'EtH6256the chestהָֽאָר֜וֹןha.'a.RonH727was broughtיָבִ֨יאya.Vi'H935unto the king’sהַמֶּלֶךְ֮ha.me.leKhH4428officeפְּקֻדַּ֣תpe.ku.DatH6486by the handבְּיַ֣דbe.YadH3027of the Levitesהַלְוִיִּם֒hal.vi.YimH3881,and when they sawוְכִרְאוֹתָ֞םve.khir.'o.TamH7200that there wasmuchרַ֣בravH7227moneyהַכֶּ֗סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701,the king’sהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428scribeסוֹפֵ֤רso.FerH5608and the highהָרֹ֔אשׁha.RoshH7218priest’sכֹּהֵ֣ןko.HenH3548officerוּפְקִיד֙u.fe.KidH6496cameוּבָ֨אu.Va'H935and emptiedוִיעָ֙רוּ֙vi.'A.ruH6168the chestהָ֣אָר֔וֹןha.'a.RonH727,and tookוְיִשָּׂאֻ֖הוּve.yi.sa.'U.huH5375it, and carriedH7725it to his placeמְקֹמ֑וֹme.ko.MoH4725againH7725.Thus they didעָשׂוּ֙'a.SuH6213dayלְי֣וֹם׀le.YomH3117by dayבְּי֔וֹםbe.YomH3117,and gatheredוַיַּֽאַסְפוּ־vai.ya.'as.fu-H622moneyכֶ֖סֶףKhe.sefH3701in abundanceלָרֹֽב׃la.RoH7230.

12And the kingהַמֶּ֜לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428and Jehoiadaוִֽיהוֹיָדָ֗עvi.ho.ya.Da'H3077gaveוַיִּתְּנֵ֨הוּvai.yi.te.Ne.huH5414it to such as didעוֹשֵׂה֙o.SehH6213the workמְלֶ֙אכֶת֙me.Le.khetH4399of the serviceעֲבוֹדַ֣תa.vo.DatH5656of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and hiredשֹׂכְרִים֙so.khe.RimH7936masonsחֹצְבִ֣יםcho.tze.VimH2672and carpentersוְחָרָשִׁ֔יםve.cha.ra.ShimH2796to repairלְחַדֵּ֖שׁle.cha.DeshH2318the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and also such as wroughtלְחָרָשֵׁ֤יle.cha.ra.SheiH2796ironבַרְזֶל֙var.ZelH1270and brassוּנְחֹ֔שֶׁתu.ne.Cho.shetH5178to mendלְחַזֵּ֖קle.cha.ZekH2388the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

13So the workmenוַֽיַּעֲשׂוּ֙ הַמְּלָאכָ֔הvai.ya.'a.Su ha.me.la.KhahH6213 H4399wroughtעֹשֵׂ֣י'o.SeiH6213,and the workלַמְּלָאכָ֖הla.me.la.KhahH4399wasוַתַּ֧עַלva.Ta.'alH5927perfectedאֲרוּכָ֛ה'a.ru.KhahH724by themבְּיָדָ֑םbe.ya.DamH3027,and they setוַֽיַּעֲמִ֜ידוּvai.ya.'a.Mi.duH5975the houseבֵּ֧יתbeitH1004of Godהָֽאֱלֹהִ֛יםha.'E.lo.HimH430in his stateמַתְכֻּנְתּ֖וֹmat.kun.ToH4971,and strengthenedוַֽיְאַמְּצֻֽהוּ׃Vay.'a.me.Tzu.huH553it.
