12So Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֧םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379and all the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971cameוַיָּבֹ֨אvai.ya.Vo'H935to Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֖םre.chav.'AmH7346on the thirdהַשְּׁלִשִׁ֑יha.she.li.ShiH7992dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117,as the kingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428badeדִּבֶּ֤רdi.BerH1696,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Come againשׁ֥וּבוּShu.vuH7725to me on the thirdהַשְּׁלִשִֽׁי׃ha.she.li.ShiH7992dayבַּיּ֥וֹםbai.YomH3117.

13And the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428answeredוַיַּעֲנֵ֥םvai.ya.'a.NemH6030them roughlyקָשָׁ֑הka.ShahH7186;and kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֔םre.chav.'AmH7346forsookוַֽיַּעֲזֹב֙vai.ya.'a.ZoH5800the counselעֲצַ֥ת'a.TzatH6098of the old menהַזְּקֵנִֽים׃ha.ze.ke.NimH2205,

14And answeredוַיְדַבֵּ֣רvay.da.BerH1696them after the adviceכַּעֲצַ֤תka.'a.TzatH6098of the young menהַיְלָדִים֙hay.la.DimH3206,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,My fatherאָבִ֗י'a.ViH1made your yokeעֻלְּכֶ֔ם'u.le.KhemH5923heavyאַכְבִּיד֙'akh.BidH3513,but I will addאֹסִ֣יף'o.SifH3254thereto: my fatherH1chastisedיִסַּ֤רyi.SarH3256you with whipsבַּשּׁוֹטִ֔יםba.sho.TimH7752, but I will chastise youwith scorpionsבָּעֲקְרַבִּֽים׃ba.'ak.ra.BimH6137.

15So the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428hearkenedשָׁמַ֥עsha.Ma'H8085not unto the peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971:for the causeנְסִבָּה֙ne.si.BahH5252was of Godהָֽאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430,that the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068might performהָקִ֨יםha.KimH6965his wordדְּבָר֗וֹde.va.RoH1697,which he spakeדִּבֶּר֙di.BerH1696by the handבְּיַד֙be.YadH3027of Ahijahאֲחִיָּ֣הוּ'a.chi.Ya.huH281the Shiloniteהַשִּֽׁלוֹנִ֔יha.shi.lo.NiH7888to Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֖םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Nebatנְבָֽט׃ne.VatH5028.

16And when all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478sawH7200that the kingהַמֶּלֶךְ֮ha.me.leKhH4428would not hearkenשָׁמַ֣עsha.Ma'H8085unto them, the peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971answeredוַיָּשִׁ֣יבוּvai.ya.Shi.vuH7725the kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְ׀ha.Me.lekhH4428,sayingלֵאמֹ֡רle.MorH559,What portionחֵ֨לֶקChe.lekH2506have we in Davidבְּדָוִ֜ידbe.da.VidH1732? and we havenone inheritanceנַחֲלָ֣הna.cha.LahH5159in the sonבְּבֶן־be.ven-H1121of Jesseיִשַׁ֗יyi.ShaiH3448:every manאִ֤ישׁ'ishH376to your tentsלְאֹהָלֶ֙יךָ֙le.'o.ha.Lei.khaH168,O Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478: andnow, Davidדָּוִ֑ידda.VidH1732,seeH7200to thine own houseבֵיתְךָ֖vei.te.KhaH1004.So all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478wentH3212to their tentsלְאֹהָלָֽיו׃ סle.'o.ha.LavH168.

17But as forthe childrenוּבְנֵ֣יu.ve.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478that dweltהַיֹּֽשְׁבִ֖יםhai.yo.she.VimH3427in the citiesבְּעָרֵ֣יbe.'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063,Rehoboamרְחַבְעָֽם׃re.chav.'AmH7346reignedוַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְvai.yim.LokhH4427over them.

18Then kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֗םre.chav.'AmH7346sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֞חvai.yish.LachH7971Hadoramהֲדֹרָם֙ha.do.RamH1913that wasover the tributeהַמַּ֔סha.MasH4522;and the childrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478stonedוַיִּרְגְּמוּ־vai.yir.ge.mu-H7275him with stonesאֶ֖בֶן'E.venH68,that he diedוַיָּמֹ֑תvai.ya.MotH4191.But kingוְהַמֶּ֣לֶךְve.ha.Me.lekhH4428Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֗םre.chav.'AmH7346made speedהִתְאַמֵּץ֙hit.'a.MetzH553to get him upלַֽעֲל֣וֹתla.'a.LotH5927to hischariotבַּמֶּרְכָּבָ֔הba.mer.ka.VahH4818,to fleeלָנ֖וּסla.NusH5127to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ סye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

19And Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478rebelledוַיִּפְשְׁע֤וּvai.yif.she.'UH6586against the houseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004of Davidדָּוִ֔ידda.VidH1732unto this dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.
