6Then he calledוַיִּקְרָ֖אvai.yik.Ra'H7121for Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֣הlish.lo.MohH8010his sonבְנ֑וֹve.NoH1121,and chargedוַיְצַוֵּ֙הוּ֙vay.tza.Ve.huH6680him to buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129an houseבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004for the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סYis.ra.'ElH3478.

7And Davidדָּוִ֖ידda.VidH1732saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֑הlish.lo.MohH8010,My sonבְּנִ֕יbe.niH1121,as for me, it was in my mindלְבָבִ֔יle.va.ViH3824to buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129an houseבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004unto the nameלְשֵׁ֖םle.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068my Godאֱלֹהָֽי׃'e.lo.HaiH430:

8But the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068came to me, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Thou hast shedשָׁפַ֔כְתָּsha.Fakh.taH8210bloodדָּ֤םdamH1818abundantlyלָרֹב֙la.RoH7230,and hast madeעָשִׂ֑יתָ'a.Si.taH6213greatגְּדֹל֖וֹתge.do.LotH1419warsוּמִלְחָמ֥וֹתu.mil.cha.MotH4421:thou shalt not buildתִבְנֶ֥הtiv.NehH1129an houseבַ֙יִת֙va.yitH1004unto my nameלִשְׁמִ֔יlish.MiH8034,because thou hast shedשָׁפַ֥כְתָּsha.Fakh.taH8210muchרַבִּ֔יםra.BimH7227bloodדָּמִ֣יםda.MimH1818upon the earthאַ֖רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776in my sightלְפָנָֽי׃le.fa.NaiH6440.

9Behold, a sonבֵ֞ןvenH1121shall be bornנוֹלָ֣דno.LadH3205to thee, who shall be a manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of restמְנוּחָ֔הme.nu.ChahH4496;and I will give him restוַהֲנִח֥וֹתִיva.ha.ni.Cho.tiH5117from all his enemiesאוֹיְבָ֖יו'oy.VavH341round aboutמִסָּבִ֑יבmi.sa.VivH5439:for his nameשְׁמ֔וֹshe.MoH8034shall be Solomonשְׁלֹמֹה֙she.lo.MohH8010,and I will giveאֶתֵּ֥ן'e.TenH5414peaceוְשָׁל֥וֹםve.sha.LomH7965and quietnessוָשֶׁ֛קֶטva.She.ketH8253unto Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478in his daysבְּיָמָֽיו׃be.ya.MavH3117.

10He shall buildיִבְנֶ֥הyiv.NehH1129an houseבַ֙יִת֙va.yitH1004for my nameלִשְׁמִ֔יlish.MiH8034;and he shall be my sonלְבֵ֔ןle.VenH1121, and I will behis fatherלְאָ֑בle.'AvH1;and I will establishוַהֲכִ֨ינוֹתִ֜יva.ha.Khi.no.TiH3559the throneכִּסֵּ֧אki.Se'H3678of his kingdomמַלְכוּת֛וֹmal.khu.ToH4438over Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478forעַד־'ad-H5704everעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769.

11Now, my sonבְנִ֔יve.NiH1121,the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068be with thee; and prosperוְהִצְלַחְתָּ֗ve.hitz.lach.TaH6743thou, and buildוּבָנִ֙יתָ֙u.va.Ni.taH1129the houseבֵּ֚יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430,as he hath saidדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696of thee.

12Only the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068giveיִֽתֶּן־yi.ten-H5414thee wisdomשֵׂ֣כֶלSe.khelH7922and understandingוּבִינָ֔הu.vi.NahH998,and give thee chargeוִֽיצַוְּךָ֖vi.tza.ve.KhaH6680concerning Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,that thou mayest keepוְלִשְׁמ֕וֹרve.lish.MorH8104the lawתּוֹרַ֖תto.RatH8451of the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃'e.lo.Hei.khaH430.

13Then shalt thou prosperתַּצְלִ֔יחַtatz.Li.achH6743,if thou takest heedתִּשְׁמ֗וֹרtish.MorH8104to fulfilלַעֲשׂוֹת֙la.'a.sOtH6213the statutesהַֽחֻקִּ֣יםha.chu.KimH2706and judgmentsהַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֔יםha.mish.pa.TimH4941which the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068chargedצִוָּ֧הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872with concerning Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478:be strongחֲזַ֣קcha.ZakH2388,and of good courageוֶאֱמָ֔ץve.'e.MatzH553;dreadתִּירָ֖אti.Ra'H3372not, nor be dismayedתֵּחָֽת׃te.ChatH2865.

14Now, behold, in my troubleבְעָנְיִ֜יve.'a.ne.YiH6040I have preparedהֲכִינ֣וֹתִיha.khi.No.tiH3559for the houseלְבֵית־le.veit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068an hundredמֵֽאָה־me.'ah-H3967thousandאֶ֙לֶף֙'e.lefH505talentsכִּכָּרִ֤יםki.ka.RimH3603of goldזָהָ֞בza.HavH2091,and a thousandאֶ֤לֶף'E.lefH505thousandאֲלָפִים֙'a.la.FimH505talentsכִּכָּרִ֔יםki.ka.RimH3603of silverוְכֶ֗סֶףve.Khe.sefH3701;and of brassוְלַנְּחֹ֤שֶׁתve.la.ne.Cho.shetH5178and ironוְלַבַּרְזֶל֙ve.la.bar.ZelH1270without weightמִשְׁקָ֔לmish.KalH4948;for it is in abundanceלָרֹ֖בla.RoH7230:timberוְעֵצִ֤יםve.'e.TzimH6086also and stoneוַאֲבָנִים֙va.'a.va.NimH68have I preparedהֲכִינ֔וֹתִיha.khi.No.tiH3559;and thou mayest addתּוֹסִֽיף׃to.SifH3254thereto.

15Moreover there areworkmenעֹשֵׂ֣י מְלָאכָ֔ה'o.Sei me.la.KhahH4399 H6213with thee in abundanceלָרֹב֙la.RoH7230,hewersחֹצְבִ֕יםcho.tze.VimH2672and workersוְחָרָשֵׁ֥יve.cha.ra.SheiH2796of stoneאֶ֖בֶן'E.venH68and timberוָעֵ֑ץva.'EtzH6086,and all manner of cunning menחָכָ֖םcha.KhamH2450for every manner of workמְלָאכָֽה׃me.la.KhahH4399.

16Of the goldלַזָּהָ֥בla.za.HavH2091,the silverלַכֶּ֛סֶףla.Ke.sefH3701,and the brassוְלַנְּחֹ֥שֶׁתve.la.ne.Cho.shetH5178,and the ironוְלַבַּרְזֶ֖לve.la.bar.ZelH1270, there isno numberמִסְפָּ֑רmis.ParH4557.Ariseק֣וּםkumH6965therefore,and be doingוַעֲשֵׂ֔הva.'a.SehH6213,and the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068be with thee.
