Habakkuk 2:2-8
2Then the LORDH3068H559 answered meH6030:
“Write downH3789 this visionH2377and clearlyH874 inscribe it onH5921 tabletsH3871,so thatH4616 a heraldH7121 may runH7323 with it.3ForH3588 the visionH2377 awaitsH5750 an appointed timeH4150;it testifiesH6315 of the endH7093 and does notH3808 lieH3576.ThoughH518 it lingersH4102, waitH2442 for it,sinceH3588 it will surely comeH935 and will notH3808 delayH309.14Look atH2009 the proud oneH6075; his soulH5315 is notH3808 uprightH34742—but the righteousH6662 will liveH2421 by faithH5303—5and wealthH31964 indeedH637H3588 betrays himH898.He is an arrogantH3093 manH1397 neverH3808 at restH5115.HeH834 enlargesH7337 his appetiteH5315 like SheolH7585,and like DeathH4194, heH1931 is neverH3808 satisfiedH7646.He gathersH622 allH3605 the nationsH1471 to himselfH413and collectsH6908 allH3605 the peoplesH5971 as his ownH413.
6Will notH3808 allH3605 of theseH428 take upH5375 a tauntH4912 against himH5921,speakingH559 with mockeryH4426 and derisionH2420:
‘WoeH1945 to him who amassesH7235 what is not hisH3808and makes himself richH3513 with many loansH5671!HowH5704 long will this go onH4970?’7Will notH3808 your creditorsH5391 suddenlyH6621 ariseH6965and those who disturb youH2111 awakenH3364?Then you will becomeH1961 their preyH4933.8BecauseH3588 youH859 have plunderedH7997 manyH7227 nationsH1471,the remnantH3605H3499 of the peopleH5971 will plunder youH7997—because of your bloodshedH1818 against manH120and your violenceH2555 against the landH776, the cityH7151,and allH3605 their dwellersH3427.
