Ecclesiastes 2:14-18
14The wiseH2450 man has eyesH5869 in his headH7218, but the foolH3684 walksH1980 in darknessH2822.
Yet IH589 alsoH1571 came to realizeH3045 that oneH259 fateH4745 overcomesH7136 themH853 bothH3605. 15So IH589 saidH559 to myselfH3820, “The fateH4745 of the foolH3684 will alsoH1571 befallH7136 meH589. WhatH4100 thenH227 have IH589 gainedH3148 by being wiseH2449?”
And I saidH1696 to myselfH3820 that thisH2088 tooH1571 is futileH1892.
16ForH3588 there is noH369 lastingH5769 remembranceH2146 of the wiseH2450, just as withH5973 the foolH3684, seeing thatH3528 bothH3605 will be forgottenH7911 in the daysH3117 to comeH935. AlasH349, the wise manH2450 will dieH4191 just likeH5973 the foolH3684! 17So I hatedH8130 lifeH2416, becauseH3588 the workH4639 that is doneH6213 underH8478 the sunH8121 was grievousH7451 to meH5921. ForH3588 everythingH3605 is futileH1892 and a pursuitH7469 of the windH7307.
18IH589 hatedH8130 allH3605 for whichH589 I had toiledH5999H6001 underH8478 the sunH8121, because I must leave itH5117 to the manH120 who comesH1961 after meH310.
