Judges 8:24-33

And GideonH1439 saidH559 unto them, I would desire a requestH7592 of youH3588, that ye would giveH5414 meH413 everyH376 manH376 the earringsH5141 of his spoilH7998. (For they had goldenH2091 earringsH5141, becauseH3588 they were IshmaelitesH3459.)

And they answeredH559, WeH8033 will willingly giveH5414 them. And they spreadH6566 a garmentH8071, and didH376 castH7993 therein everyH376 manH376 the earringsH5141 of his spoilH7998.

And the weightH4948 of the goldenH2091 earringsH5141 that he requestedH7592 was a thousandH505 and sevenH7651 hundredH3967 shekelsH4948 of goldH2091; besideH5921 the crescents, and the pendantsH5188, and the purpleH713 raiment that was on the kingsH4428 of MidianH4080, and besideH5921 the chains that were aboutH1961 their camels’H1581 necksH6677.

And GideonH1439 madeH6213 an ephodH646 thereof, and putH3322 it in his cityH5892, evenH853 in OphrahH6084: and allH3605 IsraelH3478 wentH1961 a whoring afterH310 it there: and it becameH1961 a snareH4170 unto GideonH1439, and to his houseH1004.

SoH3808 MidianH4080 was subduedH3665 beforeH6440 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, and they liftedH5375 upH5375 their headsH7218 noH3808 moreH3254. And the landH776 had restH8252 fortyH705 yearsH8141 in the daysH3117 of GideonH1439.

And JerubbaalH3378 the sonH1121 of JoashH3101 wentH1004 and dweltH3427 in his own houseH1004.

And GideonH1439 had threescore and ten sonsH1121 of his body begotten: for he had manyH7227 wivesH802.

And his concubineH6370 that was in ShechemH7927, sheH1931 also bare him a sonH1121, and he calledH8034 his nameH8034 AbimelechH40.

And GideonH1439 the sonH1121 of JoashH3101 diedH4191 in a goodH2896 oldH1121 ageH1121, and was buriedH6912 in the sepulchre of JoashH3101 his fatherH1, in OphrahH6084 of the AbiezritesH33.

And it cameH1961 to passH1961, as soon as GideonH1439 was deadH4191, that the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 turnedH7725 againH7725, and wentH7725 a whoring afterH310 the Baalim, and madeH7760 Baal-berithH1170 their godH430.
