Revised Version 1895

Kings 8:25-29

NowH6258 therefore, O LORDH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, keepH8104 with thy servantH5650 DavidH1732 my fatherH1 that whichH834 thou hast promisedH1696 him, sayingH559, There shall notH3808 failH3772 thee a manH376 in my sightH6440 to sitH3427 on the throneH3678 of IsraelH3478; ifH518 onlyH7535 thy childrenH1121 takeH8104 heedH8104 to their wayH1870 to walkH1980 beforeH6440 meH6440 as thou hast walkedH1980 beforeH6440 meH6440.

NowH6258 therefore, O GodH430 of IsraelH3478, letH4994 thy wordH1697, I prayH4994 thee, be verifiedH539, whichH834 thou spakest unto thy servantH5650 DavidH1732 my fatherH1.

But will GodH430 in veryH2088 deed dwellH3427 on the earthH776? beholdH2009, heavenH8064 and the heavenH8064 of heavensH8064 cannotH3808 containH3557 thee; howH834 muchH637 lessH637 this houseH1004 that I have builded!

Yet have thou respectH6437 unto the prayerH8605 of thy servantH5650, and to his supplicationH8467, O LORDH3068 my GodH430, to hearken unto the cryH7440 and to the prayerH8605 whichH834 thy servantH5650 prayeth beforeH6440 thee this dayH3117:

that thine eyesH5869 may be openH6605 towardH413 this houseH1004 nightH3915 and dayH3117, even towardH413 the placeH4725 whereof thou hast saidH559, My nameH8034 shall be there: to hearken unto the prayerH8605 whichH834 thy servantH5650 shall prayH6419 towardH413 this placeH4725.
