Revised Version 1895
Kings 3:10-14
And the speechH1697 pleasedH3190 the LordH136, that SolomonH8010 had askedH7592 this thingH1697.
And GodH430 saidH559 unto him, BecauseH3282 thou hast askedH7592 this thingH1697, and hast notH3808 askedH7592 for thyself longH3117 lifeH5315; neitherH3808 hast askedH7592 richesH6239 for thyself, norH3808 hast askedH7592 the lifeH5315 of thine enemiesH341; but hast askedH7592 for thyself understandingH995 to discernH995 judgmentH4941;
beholdH2009, I have doneH6213 accordingH310 to thy wordH1697: loH2009, I have givenH5414 thee a wiseH2450 and an understandingH995 heartH3820; soH6213 that there hath been noneH3808 like thee beforeH6440 thee, neitherH3808 afterH310 thee shall anyH1961 ariseH6965 like unto thee.
And I have also givenH5414 thee that whichH834 thou hast notH3808 askedH7592, bothH1571 richesH6239 and honour, soH1961 that there shall notH3808 be anyH3605 among the kingsH4428 like unto thee, allH3605 thy daysH3117.
And ifH518 thou wilt walkH1980 in my waysH1870, to keepH8104 my statutesH2706 and my commandmentsH4687, as thy fatherH1 DavidH1732 didH834 walkH1980, then I will lengthenH748 thy daysH3117.
