Revised Version 1895
Kings 14:1-5
At that time AbijahH29 the sonH1121 of JeroboamH3379 fell sickH2470.
And JeroboamH3379 saidH559 to his wifeH802, AriseH6965, I prayH4994 thee, and disguise thyself, that thou be notH3808 knownH3045 to be the wifeH802 of JeroboamH3379: and getH6965 thee to ShilohH7887; beholdH2009, there is AhijahH281 the prophetH5030, whichH1931 spake concerning meH4994 that I should be kingH4428 over this peopleH5971.
And takeH3947 with thee tenH6235 loavesH3899, and cracknels, and a cruse of honeyH1706, and goH935 to him: he shall tellH5046 thee whatH4100 shall becomeH1961 of the childH5288.
And Jeroboam’sH3379 wifeH802 didH6213 soH3651, and aroseH6965, and wentH935 to ShilohH7887, and cameH935 to the houseH1004 of AhijahH281. NowH3588 AhijahH281 couldH3201 notH3808 seeH7200; for his eyesH5869 were setH6965 by reasonH3651 of his ageH935.
And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto AhijahH281, BeholdH2009, the wifeH802 of JeroboamH3379 cometh to inquireH1875 of thee concerning herH413 sonH1121; for he is sickH2470: thusH2088 and thusH2088 shalt thou sayH559 unto herH413: for it shall be, when sheH1931 cometh in, that sheH1931 shall feign herselfH1931 to be anotherH2088 womanH802.
