Kings 13:2-24
And he criedH7121 againstH5921 the altarH4196 by the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, and saidH559, O altarH4196, altarH4196, thusH3541 saith the LORDH3068: BeholdH2009, a childH1121 shall be bornH3205 unto the houseH1004 of DavidH1732, JosiahH2977 by nameH8034; and uponH5921 thee shall he sacrificeH2076 the priestsH3548 of the highH1116 placesH1116 that burnH8313 incenseH6999 uponH5921 thee, and men’sH120 bonesH6106 shall they burnH8313 uponH5921 thee.
And he gaveH5414 a signH4159 the sameH1931 dayH3117, sayingH559, This is the signH4159 whichH834 the LORDH3068 hath spokenH1696: BeholdH2009, the altarH4196 shall be rent, and the ashesH1880 that are uponH5921 it shall be pouredH8210 outH8210.
And it cameH1961 to passH1961, when the kingH4428 heardH8085 the sayingH559 of the manH376 of GodH430, whichH834 he criedH7121 againstH5921 the altarH4196 in Beth-el, that JeroboamH3379 putH7971 forthH7971 his handH3027 from the altarH4196, sayingH559, LayH7971 holdH8610 on him. And his handH3027, whichH834 he putH7971 forthH7971 againstH5921 him, driedH3001 upH3001, soH7971 that he couldH3201 notH3808 drawH7725 it backH7725 againH7725 to him.
The altarH4196 also was rent, and the ashesH1880 pouredH8210 outH4480 from the altarH4196, accordingH4480 to the signH4159 whichH834 the manH376 of GodH430 had givenH5414 by the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068.
And the kingH4428 answeredH559 and saidH559 unto the manH376 of GodH430, EntreatH2470 nowH4994 the favour of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, and prayH6419 for meH413, that my handH3027 may be restoredH7725 meH413 againH7725. And the manH376 of GodH430 entreated the LORDH3068, and the king’sH4428 handH3027 was restoredH7725 him againH7725, and becameH1961 as it was beforeH6440.
And the kingH4428 saidH1696 unto the manH376 of GodH430, ComeH935 homeH1004 with meH413, and refreshH5582 thyself, and I will giveH5414 thee a rewardH4991.
And the manH376 of GodH430 saidH559 unto the kingH4428, IfH518 thou wilt giveH5414 meH413 halfH2677 thine houseH1004, I will notH3808 goH935 in with thee, neitherH3808 will I eatH398 breadH3899 norH3808 drinkH8354 waterH4325 in this placeH4725:
for soH3651 was it chargedH6680 meH7725 by the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, sayingH559, Thou shalt eatH398 noH3808 breadH3899, norH3808 drinkH8354 waterH4325, neitherH3808 returnH7725 by the wayH1870 that thou camest.
SoH3808 he wentH935 anotherH312 wayH1870, and returnedH7725 notH3808 by the wayH1870 that he cameH935 to Beth-el.
NowH3117 there dweltH3427 an oldH1121 prophetH5030 in Beth-el; and one of his sonsH1121 cameH935 and toldH1696 him allH3605 the worksH4639 that the manH376 of GodH430 had doneH6213 that dayH3117 in Beth-el: the wordsH1697 whichH834 he had spokenH1696 unto the kingH4428, them also they toldH1696 unto their fatherH1.
And their fatherH1 saidH1696 unto them, WhatH834 wayH1870 wentH1980 he? NowH2088 his sonsH1121 had seenH7200 whatH834 wayH1870 the manH376 of GodH430 wentH1980, whichH834 cameH935 from JudahH3063.
And he saidH559 unto his sonsH1121, SaddleH2280 meH413 the ass. SoH5921 they saddledH2280 him the ass: and he rodeH7392 thereonH5921.
And he wentH935 afterH310 the manH376 of GodH430, and foundH4672 him sittingH3427 underH8478 an oakH424: and he saidH559 unto him, Art thou the manH376 of GodH430 that camest from JudahH3063? And he saidH559, I am.
Then he saidH559 unto him, Come homeH1004 with meH413, and eatH398 breadH3899.
And he saidH559, I may notH3808 returnH7725 with thee, norH3808 goH935 in with thee: neitherH3808 will I eatH398 breadH3899 norH3808 drinkH8354 waterH4325 with thee in this placeH4725:
for it was saidH413 to meH413 by the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, Thou shalt eatH398 noH3808 breadH3899 norH3808 drinkH8354 waterH4325 there, norH3808 turnH7725 againH7725 to goH1980 by the wayH1870 that thou camest.
And he saidH559 unto him, I also am a prophetH5030 as thou art; and an angelH4397 spake unto meH413 by the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, sayingH559, BringH7725 him backH7725 with thee intoH413 thine houseH1004, that he may eatH398 breadH3899 and drinkH8354 waterH4325. But he liedH3584 unto him.
SoH7725 he wentH7725 backH7725 with him, and did eatH398 breadH3899 in his houseH1004, and drankH8354 waterH4325.
And it cameH1961 to passH1961, as they satH3427 at the tableH7979, that the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 cameH1961 unto the prophetH5030 that broughtH7725 him backH7725:
and he criedH7121 unto the manH376 of GodH430 that cameH935 from JudahH3063, sayingH559, ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, Forasmuch as thou hast been disobedientH4784 unto the mouthH6310 of the LORDH3068, and hast notH3808 keptH8104 the commandmentH4687 whichH834 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 commandedH6680 thee,
but camest backH7725, and hast eatenH398 breadH3899 and drunkH8354 waterH4325 in the placeH4725 of the whichH834 he saidH1696 to thee, EatH398 noH3808 breadH3899, and drinkH8354 noH3808 waterH4325; thy carcase shall notH3808 comeH935 unto the sepulchre of thy fathersH1.
And it cameH1961 to passH1961, afterH310 he had eatenH398 breadH3899, and afterH310 he had drunkH8354, that he saddledH2280 for him the ass, to wit, for the prophetH5030 whomH834 he had broughtH7725 backH7725.
And when he was goneH1961, a lionH738 metH4672 him by the wayH1870, and slew him: and his carcase was castH7993 in the wayH1870, and the ass stoodH5975 by it; the lionH738 also stoodH5975 by the carcase.
