Zechariah 11:7-11

7So I 1pastured the flock doomed to slaughter, 2hence the 3afflicted of the flock. And I took for myself two 4staffs: the one I called 5 6Favor and the other I called 7 8Union; so I pastured the flock.

8Then I annihilated the three shepherds in 9one month, for my soul was impatient with them, and their soul also 10was weary of me.

9Then I said, “I will not pasture you. What is to 11die, 12let it die, and what is to be annihilated, 13let it be annihilated; and 14let those who are left eat one another’s flesh.”

10I took my staff 15 16Favor and cut it in pieces, to 17 18break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples.

11So it was 19broken on that day, and 20thus the 21afflicted of the flock who were watching me realized that it was the word of the Lord.
