Lamentations 3:40-47
40Let us 1examine and probe our ways, And let us return to the Lord.41We 2lift up our heart 3and hands Toward God in heaven;42We have 4transgressed and rebelled, You have 5not pardoned.43You have covered Yourself with 6anger And 7pursued us; You have slain and 8have not spared.44You have 9covered Yourself with a cloud So that 10no prayer can pass through.45You have made us mere 11offscouring and refuse In the midst of the peoples.46All our enemies have 12opened their mouths against us.4713Panic and pitfall have befallen us, Devastation and destruction;
