John 6:54-63
54He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will 1raise him up on the last day. 55For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. 56He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood 2abides in Me, and I in him. 57As the 3living Father 4sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. 58This is the bread which 5came down out of heaven; not as 6the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread 7will live forever.” 59These things He said 8in the synagogue as He taught 9in Capernaum.
60Therefore many of His 10disciples, when they heard this said, “11This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it?” 61But Jesus, 12conscious that His disciples grumbled at this, said to them, “Does this 13cause you to stumble? 62What then if you see 14the Son of Man 15ascending to where He was before? 6316It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; 17the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
