New American Standard Bible 1995
John 15:16-19
161You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and 2bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that 3whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. 17This 4I command you, that you love one another.
18“5If the world hates you, 6you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. 19If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but 7I chose you out of the world, 8because of this the world hates you.
