John 12:20-36

20Now there were some 1Greeks among those who were going up to worship at 2the feast; 21these then came to 3Philip, who was from 4Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” 22Philip came and told 5Andrew; Andrew and Philip came and told Jesus. 23And Jesus answered them, saying, “6The hour has come for the Son of Man to 7be glorified. 24Truly, truly, I say to you, 8unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 259He who loves his 10life loses it, and he who 11hates his 12life in this world will keep it to life eternal. 26If anyone 13serves Me, he must follow Me; and 14where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone 15serves Me, the Father will 16honor him.

27“17Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, ‘18Father, save Me from 19this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. 2820Father, glorify Your name.” Then a 21voice came out of heaven: “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.” 29So the crowd of people who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, “22An angel has spoken to Him.” 30Jesus answered and said, “23This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes. 3124Now judgment is upon this world; now 25the ruler of this world will be cast out. 32And I, if I 26am lifted up from the earth, will 27draw all men to Myself.” 33But He was saying this 28to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die. 34The crowd then answered Him, “We have heard out of 29the Law that 3031the Christ is to remain forever; and how can You say, ‘The 32Son of Man must be 33lifted up’? Who is this 34Son of Man?” 35So Jesus said to them, “35For a little while longer 36the Light is among you. 37Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who 38walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. 36While you have the Light, 39believe in the Light, so that you may become 40sons of Light.”

These things Jesus spoke, and He went away and 4142hid Himself from them.
