John 1:29-36
29The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, 1the Lamb of God who 2takes away the sin of the world! 30This is He on behalf of whom I said, ‘3After me comes a Man who 4has a higher rank than I, 5for He existed before me.’ 31I did not recognize 6Him, but so that He might be manifested to Israel, I came baptizing 7in water.” 32John 8testified saying, “9I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and He remained upon Him. 33I did not recognize 10Him, but He who sent me to baptize 11in water said to me, ‘He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, 12this is the One who baptizes 13in the Holy Spirit.’ 34I myself have seen, and have testified that this is 14the Son of God.”
35Again 15the next day John was standing 16with two of his disciples, 36and he looked at Jesus as He walked, and said, “Behold, 17the Lamb of God!”
