Jeremiah 6:6-8
6For thus says the Lord of hosts, “1Cut down her trees And cast up a 2siege against Jerusalem. This is the city to be punished, In whose midst there is only 3oppression.74As a well 5keeps its waters fresh, So she 6keeps fresh her wickedness. 7Violence and destruction are heard in her; 8Sickness and wounds are ever before Me.89Be warned, O Jerusalem, Or 1011I shall be alienated from you, And make you a desolation, A land not inhabited.”
