Jeremiah 50:27-31

27 1Put all her young bulls to the sword; Let them 2go down to the slaughter! Woe be upon them, for their 3day has come, The time of their punishment.

28There is a 4sound of fugitives and refugees from the land of Babylon, To declare in Zion the 5vengeance of the Lord our God, Vengeance for His 6temple.

29“Summon 7many against Babylon, All those who 8bend the bow: Encamp against her on every side, Let there be no escape9. Repay her according to her work; 10According to all that she has done, so do to her; For she has become 11arrogant against the Lord, Against the Holy One of Israel.30Therefore her 12young men will fall in her streets, And all her men of war will be 13 14silenced in that day,” declares the Lord.31“Behold, 15I am against you, O 16arrogant one,” Declares the Lord 17God of hosts, “For your day has come, The time 18when I will punish you.
