Jeremiah 1:11-16
11The word of the Lord came to me saying, “What do you see, 1Jeremiah?” And I said, “I see a rod of an 2almond tree.” 12Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for 3I am 4watching over My word to perform it.”
13The word of the Lord came to me a second time saying, “5What do you see?” And I said, “I see a boiling 6pot, facing away from the north.” 14Then the Lord said to me, “7Out of the north the evil 8will break forth on all the inhabitants of the land. 15For, behold, I am calling 9all the families of the kingdoms of the north,” declares the Lord; “and they will come and they will 10set each one his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls round about and against all the 11cities of Judah. 16I will 12pronounce My judgments on them concerning all their wickedness, whereby they have 13forsaken Me and have 1415offered sacrifices to other gods, and worshiped the 16works of their own hands.
