Hosea 8:5-10
51He has rejected your 2calf, O Samaria, saying, “My anger burns against them!” How long will they be incapable of 3innocence?6For from Israel is even this! A 4craftsman made it, so it is not God; Surely the calf of Samaria will be broken to 5pieces.7For 6they sow the wind And they reap the 7whirlwind. The standing grain has no 8heads; It yields 9no 10grain. Should it yield, strangers would swallow it up.
8Israel is 11swallowed up; They are now among the nations Like a 12vessel in which no one delights.9For they have gone up to 13Assyria, Like 14a wild donkey all alone; Ephraim has 15hired 16lovers.10Even though they hire allies among the nations, Now I will 17gather them up; And they will begin 18to 19diminish Because of the burden of the 20king of princes.
