Habakkuk 1:6-11
6For behold, I am 1raising up the Chaldeans, That 2fierce and impetuous people Who march 3throughout the earth To 45seize dwelling places which are not theirs.7They are dreaded and 6feared; Their 7justice and 8authority 9originate with themselves.8Their 10horses are swifter than leopards And 11keener than 12wolves in the evening. Their 13horsemen come galloping, Their horsemen come from afar; They fly like an 14eagle swooping down to devour.9All of them come for violence. 15Their horde of 16faces moves forward. They collect captives like sand.10They 17mock at kings And rulers are a laughing matter to them. They 18laugh at every fortress And 19heap up rubble to capture it.11Then they will sweep through like the 20wind and pass on. But they will be held 21guilty, They whose 22strength is their god.”
