Habakkuk 1:5-10

5“1Look among the nations! Observe! Be astonished! 2Wonder! Because I am doing 3something in your days-- You would not believe if 4you were told.6For behold, I am 5raising up the Chaldeans, That 6fierce and impetuous people Who march 7throughout the earth To 89seize dwelling places which are not theirs.7They are dreaded and 10feared; Their 11justice and 12authority 13originate with themselves.8Their 14horses are swifter than leopards And 15keener than 16wolves in the evening. Their 17horsemen come galloping, Their horsemen come from afar; They fly like an 18eagle swooping down to devour.9All of them come for violence. 19Their horde of 20faces moves forward. They collect captives like sand.10They 21mock at kings And rulers are a laughing matter to them. They 22laugh at every fortress And 23heap up rubble to capture it.
