15And I will put 1enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; 2He shall 3bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.” 16To the woman He said, “I will greatly multiply Your pain 4in childbirth, In pain you will 5bring forth children; Yet your desire will be for your husband, And 6he will rule over you.” 17Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; 7Cursed is the ground because of you; 8In 9toil you will eat of it All the days of your life.18Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; And you will eat the 10plants of the field;19By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you 11return to the ground, Because 12from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return.”
