Deuteronomy 18:11-18
11or one who casts a spell, 1or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord; and 2because of these detestable things the Lord your God will drive them out before you. 133You shall be 4blameless before the Lord your God. 14For those nations, which you shall dispossess, listen to those who 5practice witchcraft and to diviners, but as for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you to do so.
15“6The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your 7countrymen, you shall listen to him. 16This is 8according to all that you asked of the Lord your God in Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, let me not see this great fire anymore, or I will die.’ 179The Lord said to me, ‘They have 10spoken well. 18I will raise up a prophet from among their 11countrymen like you, and 12I will put My words in his mouth, and 13he shall speak to them all that I command him.
