Colossians 1:12-29
12giving thanks to 1the Father, who has qualified us 2to share in 3the inheritance of the 4saints in 5Light. 136For He rescued us from the 78domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of 910His beloved Son, 1411in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
1512He is the 13image of the 14invisible God, the 15firstborn of all creation. 16For 1617by Him all things were created, 18both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether 19thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--20all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17He 2122is before all things, and in Him all things 23hold together. 18He is also 24head of 25the body, the church; and He is 26the beginning, 27the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19For 28it was 29the Father’s good pleasure for all 30the 31fullness to dwell in Him, 20and through Him to 32reconcile all things to Himself, having made 33peace through 34the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, 35whether things on earth or things in 36heaven.
21And although you were 37formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, 22yet He has now 38reconciled you in His fleshly 39body through death, in order to 40present you before Him 41holy and blameless and beyond reproach-- 23if indeed you continue in 42the faith firmly 43established and steadfast, and not moved away from the 44hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed 45in all creation under heaven, 46and of which I, Paul, 47was made a 4849minister.
2450Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh 51I 52do my share on behalf of 53His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking 54in Christ’s afflictions. 2555Of this church I 56was made a minister according to the 57stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might 58fully carry out the preaching of the word of God, 26that is, 59the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His 60saints, 27to whom 61God willed to make known what is 62the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is 63Christ in you, the 64hope of glory. 28We proclaim Him, 65admonishing every man and teaching every man 66with all 67wisdom, so that we may 68present every man 6970complete in Christ. 29For this purpose also I 71labor, 72striving 73according to His 74power, which 75mightily works within me.
