Acts 22:3-5
3“1I am 2a Jew, born in 3Tarsus of 4Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated 5under 6Gamaliel, 78strictly according to the law of our fathers, being zealous for God just as 9you all are today. 410I persecuted this 11Way to the death, binding and putting both men and women into prisons, 5as also 12the high priest and all 13the Council of the elders 14can testify. From them I also 15received letters to 16the brethren, and started off for 17Damascus in order to bring even those who were there to Jerusalem 18as prisoners to be punished.
