New American Standard Bible 1995
3 John 1:8-11
8Therefore we ought to 1support such men, so that we may 2be fellow workers 3with the truth.
9I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephes, who loves to 4be first among them, does not accept 5what we say. 10For this reason, 6if I come, I will call attention to his deeds which he does, unjustly accusing us with wicked words; and not satisfied with this, he himself does not 7receive the 8brethren, either, and he forbids those who desire to do so and 9puts them out of the church.
11Beloved, 10do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. 11The one who does good is of God; 12the one who does evil has not seen God.
