2 Samuel 22:29-46
291For You are my lamp, O Lord; And the Lord illumines my darkness.302For by You I can 3run upon a troop; By my God I can leap over a wall.314As for God, His way is 5blameless; 6The word of the Lord is tested; 7He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.328For who is God, besides the Lord? 9And who is a rock, besides our God?3310God is my strong fortress; And He 11sets the 12blameless in 13His way.3414He makes 15my feet like hinds’ feet, 16And sets me on my high places.3517He trains my hands for battle, 18So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.36You have also given me 19the shield of Your salvation, And Your 20help makes me great.3721You enlarge my steps under me, And my 22feet have not slipped.38I pursued my enemies and 23destroyed them, And I did not turn back until they were consumed.39And I have devoured them and shattered them, so that they did not rise; And 24they fell under my feet.40For You have girded me with strength for battle; You have 25subdued under me 26those who rose up against me.41You have also 27made my enemies turn their backs to me, And I 28destroyed those who hated me.4229They looked, but there was none to save; 30Even to the Lord, but He did not answer them.4331Then I pulverized them as the dust of the earth; 32I crushed and stamped them as the mire of the streets.4433You have also delivered me from the contentions of my people; 34You have kept me as head of the nations; 35A people whom I have not known serve me.4536Foreigners pretend obedience to me; As soon as they hear, they obey me.46Foreigners 37lose heart, 38And 39come trembling out of their 40fortresses.
