New American Standard Bible 1995
Peter 1:5-9
Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith 1supply 2moral 3excellence, and in your moral excellence, 4knowledge,
and in your knowledge, 5self-control, and in your self-control, 6perseverance, and in your perseverance, 7godliness,
and in your godliness, 8brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.
For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor 9unfruitful in the true 10knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
For he who lacks these qualities is 11blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his 12purification from his former sins.
