New American Standard Bible 1995
1 John 5:5-12
5Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who 1believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 6This is the One who came 2by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not 3with the water only, but 4with the water and 5with the blood. It is 6the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7For there are 7three that testify: 88the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are 9in agreement. 910If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; for the testimony of God is this, that 11He has testified concerning His Son. 10The one who believes in the Son of God 12has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has 13made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. 11And the testimony is this, that God has given us 14eternal life, and 15this life is in His Son. 1216He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
