New American Standard Bible 1995
1 John 4:8-10
8The one who does not love does not know God, for 1God is love.
9By this the love of God was manifested 23in us, that 4God has sent His 5only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
10In this is love, 6not that we loved God, but that 7He loved us and sent His Son to be 8the propitiation for our sins.
