New American Standard Bible 1995
1 John 4:7-11
71Beloved, let us 2love one another, for love is from God; and 3everyone who loves is 45born of God and 6knows God.
8The one who does not love does not know God, for 7God is love.
9By this the love of God was manifested 89in us, that 10God has sent His 11only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
10In this is love, 12not that we loved God, but that 13He loved us and sent His Son to be 14the propitiation for our sins.
1115Beloved, if God so loved us, 16we also ought to love one another.
